Posted by: Dave and Peri Mills on January 29, 2004 at 21:28:32 Parent volunteers are needed to work with a team of parents coordinating fundraising activities. Are you interested? Following are the details. To coordinate fundraising activities for all Wisconsin Select teams, we are looking for at least one parent from each of the teams to volunteer with this effort. To volunteer might require meeting with a group of parents a couple of times through June. It would also involve the coordination of selected fundraising activities with the teams that you are representing. A February meeting will be scheduled to get the fundraising activities underway. Some of the fundraising activities might include car wash, brat feed, selling of food chain coupons, rummage sale and a golf outing. Other ideas are always welcomed. The golf outing is a big event which requires a couple of key activities in order to be successful. First needed are hole sponsors which means if golfing 18 holes, 18 sponsored prizes are needed. Second, each of the players would be asked to find at least 2 golfers to play in the tournament. Golf outings we have been involved with include: 18 holes of golf, a nice dinner, prizes and fun, fun, fun. More information on a golf outing will be provided at a later date. So, if interested in volunteering or you have questions, please reply to this message or contact Coach Kingsbury. Good luck to all teams this weekend and stay warm.
